Omena Has Big Plans in 2021

Our collaboration with ONG Youth First at Andoharanofotsy and Andrianampoinimerina high schools during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence.

Even during the covid-19 pandemic, we have continued our work with Malagasy youth through teaching programs and initiatives in schools. We have also started virtual initiatives to continue education about preventing emotional abuse and gender based violence.

The work we are doing is even more important in this age of lockdowns and social distancing. Although these measures are necessary to protect one another, studies have shown that rates of all forms of abuse have increased in the wake of covid-19. At Omena we play a vital role in eradicating the systems and structures which perpetuate abuse in Madagascar and the world.

Your support and continued involvement is essential in helping us carry out this all important mission and create a safer, healthier, and more empathetic world.
