Introducing Venture Prize Finalist: Omena
In February, we were honored to be a part of Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) Impact Accelerator Program. This 12 week program helps guide a new generation of leaders to develop, build, and sustain new social enterprise ventures. We were part of a group of only 17 organizations chosen to participate in this incredible opportunity!
We also collaborated with Malagasy in USA, a project for the Malagasy diaspora, to help bring together the Malagasy community in the Washington D.C. area and promote Malagasy culture. We were so honored to facilitate a safe space workshop with them, focused on understanding and combating emotional abuse. Stay tuned for more on our work with them!
We are so excited to announce that Omena is one of 8 finalists in Brown University’s Venture Prize Competition. The Venture Prize is a highly competitive award, generously awarded to a few lucky organizations each year by Brown’s Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship. Join us over zoom at 8pm ET on March 25, 2021 to see presentations from all of the finalists, including our founder, Francesca Raoelison. Tickets are free so reserve yours today!
